The Coach House is a small self catering semi detached cottage set in the heart of the Lake District.

Grange End consists of 2 semi detached cottages, one of which is used as holiday accommodation. Grange End dates back to the 1800's and was originally used as a Coach House and Stables to the Rothay Lodge Estate. Outside the Stables cottage, we still have the original byre. The property is a traditional stone built place with slate roof, typical of many in the Lake District. Inside, there are still the original beams, and exposed stonework.

The Coach House is set over two floors with wide carpeted stairs between the two. It consists of a fully equiped kitchen, lounge with dining area, a downstairs cloakroom with WC and one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bathroom upstairs. The cottage has full gas central heating (a new boiler was installed in February 2009). Cooking is with electricity, both the oven and the hob. Outside, there is off road parking for upto 2 cars and a small patio with table and chairs provided, and a small garden.

Pets are allowed, but only by prior arrangement and a refundable deposit is usually required to cover any extra cleaning cost incurred. We can also recommend a local Doggy Bed & Breakfast at Sandra Swainson's. She is willing to collect and deliver your pooch and will even take him or her for walkies when you are busy doing other things!  See our 'Contact Us' page for further details.

The cottage can be found to the north of the village, within the grounds of Riversdale and Rothay Lodge. Please see 'Directions on finding us'.
